Placed on the natural and sunny terrace of Valtournenche valley, at 1800 meters above the sea level, the small village of Chamois preserves the authenticity of the uncontaminated mountain. A choice dates back to 1955 when it was decided not to build the road that would connect it to the valley.
To this day, the village is only reachable by cable car, that leaves from Buisson, or through a small altiport, the oldest in Italy, with small ultralight aircraft or helicopter. In warm periods is possible to reach Chamois walking along the historical mule track that has 93 harpin bends and connects the village with Buisson.
This choice has allowed Chamois to become part of the circuit of the 'Alpine Pearls', alpine resorts that promote soft mobility and environmental protection.
The ideal place to spend exclusive vacations surrounded by nature and by the authenticity of the mountain.
